Thuringian Bach Collegium

Old treasures raised anew

As the musical ambassador of the Free State, the Thuringian Bach Collegium plays several baroque gems in authentic locations as true to the original as possible. Including many that have never been available on CD. A CD with Bach's violin concertos will be released in 2021.

The Thuringian Bach Collegium plays works by Johann Sebastian Bach, his ancestors (Altbachisches Archiv), his sons and contemporaries in historically informed performance practice on old instruments. As the musical ambassador of the Free State, the Thuringian Bach Collegium is regularly invited to festivals and also plays several baroque gems in authentic locations as true to the original as possible.
